A fun and diverse set of wines on the tasting table for you this Friday from 3-7pm. In addition to five selections perfect for summer enjoyment, a “bonus” offering – well-aged, top-notch, German Riesling! Join us from 3-7pm Friday to experience: Charles Clement Cuvee Speciale Brut NV – A luxury Champagne in all but price built on 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir with 25% reserve wines, this is loaded with Champagne character in a summer refreshment style. Cherrier Sancerre Les Cailloux Vielles Vignes 2024 – In a difficult vintage the Cherrier brothers’ old vines on silex soils deliver a classic, old-school, Sancerre that’s full of refreshment and minerality. Fontanavecchia Tauberno Falanghina del Sannio BjondoRE 2023 – Once again, Tre Bicchieri! With big citrus, orchard and stone fruit flavors, it’s fun to drink solo and has the salty minerality to make a terrific seafood wine, too. Flaneur Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Cuvee Constantin 2021 – From the estate’s vines in Ribbon Ridge and Yamhill Carleton, this amps up the richness and intensity a bit without losing the highly drinkable freshness we love in Oregon Pinots. Broadbent Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast 2023 – If you love California Cab’s rich blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, dash of chocolate, sweet spice, full body and fine and firm tannins that are ready to party with a steak, then you’ll definitely enjoy drinking this great value! Dr. Hermann Riesling Auslese Erdener Treppchen 2008 – You hear folks talking all the time about how well German Riesling can age, right? Well here’s the chance to taste the magic yourself! Nearly 17 years from the vintage and still delivering the goods. With the wines: Neals Yard Sparkenhoe Mature Red Leicester. The cheese originated in Leicester, England, in the 1800s with leftover milk used in Stilton production and a touch of annatto for it’s deep red/orange color. The cheese was nearly extinct when Sparkenhoe revived the style in 2005 and Neal’s Yard brought it to market. A little like an aged cheddar, but more crumbly and delicious. So come nibble some cheese, sip some Champagne, and get your weekend going on a tasty note Friday from 3-7pm! |
