Lower ABV From a cellar carved out of Vouvray's soft limestone hills, this is Chenin Blanc at its juiciest, freshest, most yummiest, best. Pretty aromas and flavors of tropical fruits, quince, and plum get lifted by a dusting of tangerine zest. It's round and generous through the steely, mouthwatering, and dry mineral finish. Certainly fun to just drink and a fine match for fruit salsas and rich cheeses.
For You If: You enjoy whites with plenty of fruit that avoid simple "fruitiness" - this has a nice dose of complicating wet stone and waxy/earth notes to match the fruit.
Not For You If: You're looking for Chenin that's either sharply bone dry or lusciously sweet - this gets extra roundness and texture from a few grams of residual sugar before finishing dry and minerally.
