Lower ABV All about "fresh." Fresh white flowers, freshly squeezed citrus and zest, fresh cut grass, and juicy green grapes all jump from the glass to your nose as soon as you take a sniff. Scents of lemon zest and a little chalky minerality with just a hint of white grapefruit carry through on a palate that has a touch extra body in this ripe vintage but still finishes crisp, minerally, and fresh. Round enough to just sip and built to shine at table.
For You If: You're after real Sancerre character at a more affordable price than most; you want a minerally but still nicely fruited white to enjoy with or without food.
Not For You If: You're after the big fruit/grass flavors of New Zealand or the smoky notes of barrel aged wines.
