Lower ABV From the Oregon side of the Columbia River, across from Walla Walla in the famed Rocks AVA, this is simply as delicious as New World Cabernet Franc can possibly be. At least for those of us who want CF to be both juicy ripe and lithe and refreshing. There’s a touch of bitter chocolate to the red cherry and currant fruit and just a hint of green tobacco to add interest. Really flows with zippy acids over ripe fruit through a supple finish. Just wonderful.
"The 2019 Cabernet Franc, made with 40% to 50% whole clusters and matured 22 months in used oak, has a medium ruby-purple color and a core of briary fruit with hints of bell pepper, oolong tea leaves, white pepper and charcuterie. Inspired by the wines of Saumur, it features crunchy red fruit and an herbal character, gently rustic tannins and lip-smacking acidity. This is so easy to drink!"
