Description of Tasting:

This Saturday, we'll continue the exploration of the impact of place on Pinot Noir by moving up to Oregon and sampling two great Pinots from Jim Anderson at Patricia Green Winery. The most important place difference in the Willamette Valley is between sites on volcanic vs marine sedimentary soils.  To help us understand that, Jim makes two Pinots that exemplify the difference. And we'll taste them side-by-side this Saturday! Join us from noon-4pm to try:

Ch Les Valentines Cotes de Provence La Londe Rose 2024 - Always one of the finest Provencal pinks, the 2024 Valentines delivers even more crisp, dry, character to balance the delicious stone and watermelon fruit. Big yum here.

The Language Of Yes Cuvee Sinso 2022 - Bonny Doon founder Randall Graham delivers Languedoc Cinsault character here from California's Central Coast. A delicious red you can drink with burgers or, like a rose, solo with chill.

Patricia Green Pinot Noir Marine Sedimentary 2022 - From four Ribbon Ridge and four Chehalem Mountain sites, you'll taste the fresh black fruits and fine minerality of sedimentary soils.

Patricia Green Pinot Noir Volcanic 2022 - From Dundee Hills sites on Oregon's state soil - Jory volcanic clay - you'll love the dark red fruit and hints of volcanic soil smoke.

Molinier Cahors Maintenant ou Jamais 2022 - Continuing the "place" theme, Malbec from the southwest of France is gloriously different from what you may be used to from Mendoza. This is earthy, rich and powerful.

All the wines on tasting will mix/match for best six/12 bottle discounts. Come taste the power of place with us on Saturday!
