A Swiss army knife wine here – the bottle you can pull out and pop open whether you’re grilling steaks, ladling out chili, searing off a piece of salmon or just looking for something hearty, smooth and fresh to sip solo or with chips. And at a pretty crazy sale price while it lasts.
In the deep south of Provence, Mourvedre ripens to earthy complexity and makes of the backbone of Bandol. You'll taste that here along with ripe fruit from Grenache and a bit of mineral bite from Cinsault. There's lots of ripe, rich, fruit here - grilled orange, juicy peach, a bit of red berry - with a touch of stony minerality and deep earthy complexity. Wine Spectator captures it nicely in their 90 point review, “A sturdy, seductive rosé, with real weight behind its wild berry, red currant, watermelon and herbal notes. Tangy acidity pulses through, powering the savory undercurrents and length. Drink now through 2028.”
For You If: You're looking for a Rose that drinks a little bit like a red but with rose refreshment to match.
