A big, bold, super-rich, Cab that's very fun to drink. As Wine Advocate says in the 92 point review, "The Crane Assembly's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Disciples is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from an unnamed vineyard in Saint Helena and aged in 60% new French oak. Luscious black cherries are joined by a hint of vanilla on the nose, while the mouthfeel is full-bodied, supple and creamy across the mid-palate, then softly dusty and chocolate tinged on the lingering finish. It's a good price for the quality, but less than 200 cases were produced of this debut vintage."
For You If: You like the wines Dave Phinney creates - this is more polished and sophisticated than, say, Prisoner, but still delivers mouth-filling volume and loads of rich, ripe, fruit.
Not For You If: You're looking for "restrained" - really, "full-throttle" is more appropriate here.
