The cooler 2021 vintage and fresh blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and 5% Muscardin gives this elegant Chateauneuf a silky feel and impeccable balance to go with CdP’s traditional rich red fruit. Plenty fleshy and rich, the earthy Mourvedre note pairs perfectly with the red cherry and berry fruit and kick of cranberry on the juicy finish. This is going to sing at table and is just plain satisfying to drink.

For You If:   You’re after the big flavors and texture of Chateauneuf du Pape dialed back and smoothed out just enough to play well with food; you want CdP to drink now – this is ready; you’re after a fun pairing for lamb curry – this would be great!

Not For You If:   You like to feel the burn and taste the sweetness of high-octane Chateauneuf; you’re after something with a lot of grip and structure – this is more silky/easy.
