A great introduction to the old Roman Greco grape best known for wines from nearby Tufo in Irpinia. Greco is thick-skinned and gives lots of structure and mouthfeel to go with herby Meyer lemon and juicy stone fruit aromas and flavors. A hint of wild herb honey add complexity to a wine that shows excellent concentration, a fluid texture, and mouthwatering grip on the dusty finish. A lot of wine for the money!
For You If: You’re after a white that matches nicely intense and ripe fruit with a good dose of herby non-fruit complexity; you’re having clams and pasta – this will rock that dish!
Not For You If: You’re after something direct and fruit-filled like Pinot Grigio or buttery/oaky like New World Chardonnay – this is about a lot more than just fruit!
