Given their fame for white and sparkling wines, it's easy to overlook the Steininger's lead red - this Zweigelt. But that would be a mistake, because the wine is crazy delicious and shows just how complex and fascinating Zweigelt can be. Hints of tar and cinnamon accent the ripe black and red cherry fruit aromas and flavors. Juicy and round and very fun to drink solo or with pizza, burgers, stews - whatever you happen to be eating!

For You If:   You like the blend of ripe fruit and savory accents you get in a good Cotes du Rhone - the flavors here are completely different, but it's the same impact.

Not For You If:   You're looking for tooty-fruity Zweigelt - those have their place, but this is a tad more serious and food friendly.
