A great follow-up to the WE Top 100 2022!  All Carignan, this smells great with big aromas of juicy plum, ripe blueberry, crushed violets and hot slate that jump from the glass. It feels great, too, with a round, fleshy, feel that has plenty of gutsy depth and weight perfectly balanced by chewy tannins and a juicy feel. The purple and black fruit flavors are ripe and rich, too, with accents of wild herb, sweet spices, and more slate-like minerality.

For You If:  You're looking for a great all-purpose red and like blue/black fruit and just a touch of grip to make your mouth water and satisfy with burgers or any casual food.

Not For You If:   You're after New World fruit ripeness - this is a bit juicy - or oaky spice - this is done all in steel.
