A terrific value Cabernet from Alexander Valley, north of Napa. Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with splashes of Malbec and Petit Verdot, this pairs rich blackberry and currant fruit with Alexander Valley’s signature touch of cured tobacco and wild herb. It’s a classic American steak wine that’s soft enough to sip while the meat is searing on the grill.

For You If:  You enjoy the classic Napa Cab profile in a ready-to-drink style and at a fine value price; you’re after tannins present enough to handle big meat but not too strong to enjoy solo.

Not For You If:  You’re looking for the super-ripe, super-plush, feel of a mid-Valley Napa Cab or something from Paso – this is nicely ripe in a more elegant, stylish, way.
