As always, an utterly delicious blend of Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and a splash of Sauvignon Blanc delivers a compelling blend of richness and vivacity, fruit and minerality, and purity and power. Slow fermentation in cool stainless steel locks in freshness and fruit while aging 7 months on the lees in tank and large, old, traditional, casks adds body and a silky texture. Delicious to sip solo and surprisingly versatile at table. The winery’s suggested matches range from pizza and pasta to white asparagus salad to “turkey breast with root vegetables” and more! We’d pair it with a sunny afternoon and be happy.
For You If: You enjoy Pinot Bianco or Pinot Grigio and are in the mood for something with a bit more cut and citrusy lift; you want an Italian white with more flavor than most but just as much juicy vibrancy and snap on the finish.
Not For You If: You like the more “neutral” whites more traditional to Italy – this is loaded with flavor and personality and finishes very long and firm.
