Lower ABV If this reminds you a bit of Willamette Valley Pinot, it could be because the wine is 30% Wadensvil clone, the Swiss clone that is so important in Oregon. From 700 meters elevation in a tiny Italian valley that might as well be part of Switzerland, there’s a lovely juiciness to the black cherry fruit and a vibrant energy that propels the fruit, spice, and rich earth flavors through a long finish.  Hard to resist.

For You If:  You like the blend of fruit and savory flavors Willamette Valley Pinot serves up in a “classic” vintage with a tiny touch of Italian flare.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for the earthiness of Burgundy or the breadth of California – this rides in between.
