Lower ABV Savoie's Jacquere grape inclines to salty stone minerality anyway, but in the village of Chignin that's amped up even more. Fourth generation winegrower Guillaume Quenard captures the minerality in spades and layers on top of it generous doses of ripe peach, juicy nectarine and fresh citrus fruit with a captivating layer of sweet spice. The talc-like minerality makes your mouth water and keeps you wanting sip after sip. Just 11.5% alcohol but 100% delightful!
For You If: You enjoy wines with lots of texture and flavor but not too much fruit-flavor or weight; you're looking for a very satisfying upgrade from Labbe Abymes and/or a match for raclette and fondue.
Not For You If: You're after something weighty, creamy, oaky or overtly fruity - this is kind of the opposite of that.
