A new wine from Billecart from lots initially intended for the very high-end Cuvee Elisabeth Salmon but found to be too immediately delicious to go into that long-aging wine. It's 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot (around 5% total red for color) and drinks like a fancier version of the much-loved NV Brut Rose. Coppery pink, crisp, lightly spiced, pretty perfect for sipping or salmon.  And while ready now, it's going to develop for 10+ years as well.  Bravo!

For You If:  You enjoy the "regular" Billecart and would like to step things up one notch or you've delighted to Elisabeth Salmon and want a taste of that for $100 less.

Not For You If:  You're looking for deeper, heartier, rose Champagnes with firm tannin and more red wine flavor - this is more delicate and lacy than that.
