Organic/Bio Lower ABV What starts off as a round, almost creamy, mouth full of sweet and bitter orange, peach and lemon zest flavors get an electric jolt of energy on the finish that grips to squeeze out every last drop of this bottle of mouthwatering fun. This wild ride of a blend of 50% Ugni Blanc plus Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc and Arriloba is what Sophie Blanchard cooks up for fun when she’s not making Cognac at the estate created by her father in the 1970s. If you feel like it, the complexity and texture here are worthy of close attention. Or you can just splash some in a glass and sip with joyful abandon.
For You If: You like dry white wines that really pop with fruit and energy and that you know you’ve sipped for minutes after you swallow because the flavors just won’t quit; the idea of a juicy wine full of orange and lemon citrus makes your mouth water just a little bit.
Not For You If: You’re looking for familiar flavors and textures – this is pretty distinctive although hardly challenging for someone already drinking Sauvignon Blanc, Albarino, crisp Italian whites, etc.
