This is old-school Barolo at it's best. Fruit from across Barolo, 30 days on the skins and 24 months in large oak cask gives a wine of outstanding intensity and grip. As James Suckling says in the 95 point review, "A structured and very cool and linear 2020, with red berries, bark, wet earth and some cedar that follow through to a medium to full body with fine, sweet tannins that make your palate fresh and clean. Needs three to four years, but shows wonderful potential. Try after 2027."
For You If: You want Barolo with plenty of power and savory, earthy, character to match the deep fruit.
Not For You If: You're looking for easy-drinking or immediate gratification - this wants 3+ hours in decanter now and will be even better in a few years.
