Lower ABV A terrific introduction to bone-dry Chenin Blanc from the heart of Anjou. It's all Chenin from a single vineyard on clay/limestone soils with a salting of schist. Made in tank, it's super intense on the nose and palate, with bold notes of ripe quince, pulpy lemon, yellow apple and loads of waxy wild herb accents. Feels much bigger than its low alcohol suggests, with a long finish of quince peel, chalky stone and more. Lovely stuff for simple fresh river fish, scallops, shrimp or even Quiche Lorraine.
For You If: You like your whites intense and textural but not oaky or sweet; you're looking for something more savory than fruity.
Not For You If: You're looking for something mellow or oaky or off-dry - this is intense, crisp and firmly dry.
