Tucked between Ukraine and Romania just off the Black Sea, Moldova is an unknown wine powerhouse with more vines per capita than any other country in the world. Viorica is uniquely Moldovan giving wine of nicely rich texture, a bit of Muscat-like floral perfume, and then a big dose of refreshing lemon and grapefruit citrus.  The citrus lets this work like Sauvignon Blanc and the extra body makes it especially successful at table with richer seafood and cheeses.

For You If:  You’re looking to add another rare grape to your life list; you enjoy Sauvignon Blanc and want to try those flavors with a bit more body and floral perfume.
