Organic/Bio The owners of Ch Saint Cosme in Gigondas do an equally brilliant job down the hill in Vinsobre. In 2020, it's the perfect blend of smooth richness and lip-smacking freshness. A terrific cookout and stew/roast wine. As Jeb Dunnuck says in the 92 point review, "A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, the classic 2020 Vinsobres from this château is beautiful and has a round, supple, elegant, medium to full-bodied style as well as textbook blackberry and black raspberry fruits, some peppery herb and floral nuances, remarkable purity, and a great finish. It's one heck of an impressive Vinsobres to drink over the coming 8-10 years."

For You If:   You enjoy bold Cotes du Rhone reds and are looking for a step up without going nuts on cost; you like your Grenache-based reds to get a touch of chocolaty richness from Syrah and Mourvedre.

Not For You If:  You're in the mood for something light/crisp - this is hardly heavy, but there's a palpable thickness to the dense, black-fruited, palate and it feels and finishes smooth.
