Organic/Bio Lower ABV It's not surprising that this racy Gamay comes from a former bicycle racer, Vincent Canard. After retiring from racing in 2015, Vincent joined his father, Marc, to take the old family domaine in Beaujolais to new heights. Farming is now all organic and winemaking simple: whole clusters, native yeast, just a tiny bit of sulfur at bottling. Here it gives a fresh and zippy red with crunchy red berry fruit and finishing bite of granite minerality. A pretty, charming, wine to enjoy for refreshment with a chill or a bit warmer with comfy foods.
For You If: You're looking for dead classic Village Beaujolais - crisp, juicy, full of fruit, easy.
Not For You If: You're after the concentration and grip of Cru Bojo like Morgon or Moulin-a-Vent - this is more of a bistro-style Gamay.
