A very grand - and Grand Cru - Special Club bottling from 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, all done in tank before bottling, secondary fermentation, and then 7 years on the lees. Chiquet's take is a stylish blend of richness in texture and saline minerality and citric cut in flavors. Pear, chamomile, tangerine zest and hints of spice join the part as the wine opens before finishing broad and long. As always at Chiquet, the balance between energy and richness is perfect, making this wonderfully drinkable and lovely at table as well.
