Lower ABV All of the exotic rose petal and lychee fruit you’d hope for in Gewurztraminer but in a lighter, more dry and even lightly mineral frame.  From Rheinhessen in Germany, this shows white stone fruit, spice, rose petals and more with nice body and a crisp, dry, finish that will have you shaking your head at the 10% alcohol and tech sheet claim it’s “off-dry.”  Super drinkable, even refreshing, and pretty stunning value.

For You If:   You love the bold aromas and flavors of Gewurz but not the heavier, almost oily, texture it sometimes gets from warmer Alsace vineyards; you’re looking for Gewurz to enjoy with a meal – this will complement food, not overwhelm it.

Not For You If:    You’re after something super-rich in texture or overtly sweet – there’s a touch of residual sugar here, but you really can’t taste it.
