Lower ABV The Pecorino grape delivers lots of body, fresh acids, and flavors that lean towards the more savory vs fruity side of things. And this is definitely more savory - when Jacquelyn tasted this, she said it was like seawater spray had just blown into your glass. The salty/iodine flavors are balanced by lemon, green pineapple and crunchy nectarine fruit midpalate before the mineral and umami flavors come to the fore on the long finish. Great with shellfish for sure but also just with a big hunk of Grana Padano or Parmesan.
For You If: You want a savory white that stays clear of anything oxidative or nutty - this is fresh, zesty, even mouthwatering despite the rich texture.
Not For You If: You're looking for a straight-ahead back porch sipper - this wants food, although just a nibble of cheese will do the trick nicely!
