Alto Adige’s Lagrien grape offers up the perfect marriage of fruit and savory notes in a wine that feels dark and gutsy but stays juicy and easy to drink. This one is done all in concrete, bringing forward the rich blackberry and raspberry fruit and adding a nice chalky minerality to the light, fine, tannins. A great all-purpose red for cheese, salami, stews and burgers and delicious solo with a light chill, too.

For You If:  You’re looking for a red with plenty of fruit and a touch of something savory to enjoy solo and with food.

Not For You If:  You’re after lots of powerful tannin or oak spice – this is pretty silky and done all in concrete.
