Lower ABV Eugenio Gatti at La Miraja is an underground hero for his work with Piemonte's Ruche grape, but he clearly makes a terrific Grignolino as well! This many-seeded grape needs a light hand with extraction, which is why it's so pretty light red in the glass. It tastes as refreshing as it looks, serving up juicy cherry, strawberry and pomegranate fruit with fresh acids and soft and supple tannins that don't get in the way of a light chill. Great cookout red from the cooler and always fun with pizza, pasta, and cured meats.
