Lower ABV The top line: this is the most delicious Moscato we’ve tried in years and will be perfect with everything from a sunny afternoon to our family’s traditional Christmas breakfast (cinnamon rolls, citrus salad and bacon). With about one-tenth the residual sugar of Moscato d’Asti, this is more crisp, clean and refreshing than you might expect. And from the ultra-rare Fior d’Arancio, or “orange blossom” clone of the already rare Moscato Giallo varietal, it serves up bold and compelling orange floral aromas that you just can’t get enough of.
On the palate things stay a bit orangey, but with the bite of Saville oranges giving freshness to the citrus/yellow peach flavors. You’ll taste the right from the tree fruit sweetness in the middle and love how it finishes long, crisp and very nearly dry. At just 6% alcohol, it’s certainly a fine pairing for fruity desserts. But don’t stop there! Salty cheeses and hams, spicy Asian dishes, solo sipping and – especially – bacon and cinnamon rolls will all taste even better with this. Huge YUM!
