Lower ABV For years, Paul Direder has made our best-selling value Gruner. Here he turns his hand to making the best value higher-end GV, one from 20-30 year-old vines in the famed Wagram Schlossberg vineyard. And he crushed it. There's a lot more power here than in the 1.0L bottle with rich orchard fruit and zesty citrus aromas and flavors and a decisive sprinkle of white pepper and smoky spice. Finishes long and classy, well more than you'd expect for this price. Bravo Paul!
For You If: You like your Gruner to have texture and weight but still sing with crisp energy and finish dry; you enjoy Gruner's classic white pepper spice - nicely present here!
Not For You If: You want super-direct, crisp, and almost lean Gruner - this has more texture and weight than that if still only 13.0% alcohol.
