Lots of folks are going to initially reject a cloudy, frothy, tart wine that at first blush is built to appeal only to Pet-Nat and sour beer fans. But chill this down and sip with salmon tartare or a bite of something finished with fish roe or tangy cheese and you're going to be delighted. Tropical pineapple and zesty lemon-lime aromas flow through to a palate that adds sour peach flavors to the party. Crisp and mouthwatering and bone dry. From Carricante grapes made fizzy by trapped CO2 in tank and bottled unfined with a nice dollop of toasty lees in the bottle.
For You If: You enjoy - or want something to satisfy fans of - Pet-Nat or sour beers; you're looking for a delightfully different bottle of bubbles to enjoy with pre-dinner canapés or just chips and dip!
Not For You If: You object to a bit of yeast flakes in your glass - this is intentionally cloudy when poured; you're after the clean, almost neutral, flavors of Prosecco; you like REALLY funky Pet-Nat - this is clean, crisp, and refreshing.
