The warmth of 2018 takes away a little cellar potential here but delivers plenty of immediate pleasure. Ripe strawberry, black cherry, leather, spice, warm earth aromas and flavors nicely complement the firm, grainy, tannins. Solid stuff and a fine value.

"This opens with aromas of rose petal, scorched earth and tobacco. On the savory, solid palate, fine-grained tannins accompany ripe black cherry, star anise and clove. Drink 2023–2031."

"Ripe red berries, nuts and mushrooms on the nose. Medium-bodied with fine, lightly firm tannin and a spicy-fruit finish. Decent focus here. Best from 2023."
