From terraced vineyards facing southeast, this brings plenty of Viognier fruit to match its classic minerality. As Jeb Dunnuck says in the 94 point review, "Another gem from Cuilleron, the 2022 Condrieu La Petite Côte has a light gold hue as well as fresh, mineral-laced aromatics of crushed pineapple, minty herbs, and sappy flowers. I love its purity of fruit, and it's medium-bodied, with a vibrant, focused mouthfeel and a beautiful finish. I think it will be even better with a year or two of bottle age."
For You If: You love the rich stone fruit and floral perfume of Viognier and want that in a wine that stays fresh and glides nicely over the palate.
Not For You If: You're looking for more restrained/minerally Viognier - this leads with its fruit.
