Just what you'd hope for in a top California Merlot, including ripe currant and berry fruit, a whiff of wild herb and a soft, supple, finish.  Wine Enthusiast describes it well in their 90 point review, "Lively lavender aromas elevate the dark berry and thyme scents on the nose of this bottling. The core of blueberry fruit on the palate is cut by oregano, marjoram and cracked pepper flavors."

For You If:  You're looking for a nice pairing for something like beef tenderloin where the wine shouldn't overwhelm the food; you're after an easygoing American red to just sip.

Not For You If:  You're looking for intense concentration, fruit and structure like you might find in Napa Cabernet - this is more easygoing Merlot!
