One of the most consistently excellent wines in the Southern Rhone, in 2020 this soars to new heights. The balanced, soft, feel makes this too easy to drink now, but it will improve for 15 years with ease.
"Crisp red apples, rhubarb, red cherries, picked rosemary stems, black olives and warm stones invigorate the senses. The palate is round and generous with concentrated cherry notes, supported by clove and black peppercorn on the finish. Cellar well through 2040+."
"Brilliant stuff, offering lots of kirsch, peppery garrigue, and sandalwood aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, pure, seamless, and just classic 2020 with its soft, charming style, it’s delicious today and will be delicious in a decade as well. The blend is 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, and the rest Cinsault, brought up 90% in concrete and 10% in old barrels."
