Lower ABV This legendary Etna winery began bottling in 1988 and was an early pioneer in focusing on single-contrada expressions of the volcano. Their Etna white is a charmer of 100% Carricante from east and south-facing slopes and made all in steel. Wine Spectator’s 91 point note captures it well: “A fresh, salty white, creamy on the palate, with white blossom, lemon thyme and beeswax accents to the flavors of poached pear, crushed almond and Meyer lemon peel.”

For You If:   You’re looking for an easy-drinking white with juicy fruit and plenty of body at just 12.5% alcohol; you enjoy a touch of floral/herbal flavor with your pear and citrus fruit.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for intense or “serious” Etna white – this is built for fun with or without food.
