Organic/Bio Lower ABV Mersault’s Vincent Boyer and Languedoc’s Emmanuel Lucas de Bar created this project to make wine together in both regions. The fruit here is from just outside of Meursault near Volnay, is fully destemmed and ages one year in barrel followed by a second year in concrete eggs. Picked early, this has lovely clarity and perfume of griotte cherries and wildflowers, pretty fruit flavors and a crisp, dry, finish that lingers nicely. A drinker’s Burgundy that’s ready now.
For You If: You enjoy pretty, light, and very flavorful Pinot Noir with a fine, dry, finish; you’re looking for something to enjoy before dinner or with lighter dishes.
Not For You If: You’re looking for lots of black fruit, concentration or grip – this is fresh, floral, easy.
