Lower ABV In the 1970's, Arneis almost went extinct despite being the most important white grape in the Langhe. Luckily for us, a resurgence in interest for Piemonte whites saved Arneis and we get this expression from Ca'Viola. On the palate are notes of chamomile, white stone fruit, and pithy citrus. This wine spends 5 months on the lees (spent dead yeast cells) which produces a fabulous texture in your mouth while drinking and after. Pair it with calamari or a Waldorf salad. Yum!
For You If: You enjoy crisp mineral driven whites- you want to drink wine solo or with food, this can do both.
Not For You If: You don't like any floral components to your wine, while not over powering the white flower adds to the aromatics.
This is aromatic, with notes of fresh apples, lemon pith and orange blossoms. Medium-bodied, crunchy and tense on the palate, with good energy and length. Very attractive and easy to drink. Drink now.
