A really well-made Bordeaux bargain here in the form of a 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend aged in oak and steel. The aromas show brambly cherry/currant fruit with a touch of smoky oak spice. Classically structured on the palate, the red cherry and blackberry fruit take center stage with notes of graphite and vanilla coming up on the firm, supple, finish. Fun for solo sipping and great with food.
For You If: You're after a good value Bordeaux with Cabernet structure and Merlot's supple finish; you want a classy Bordeaux that can go from cocktails to table with fluid ease.
