Organic/Bio If you've ever wondered why wine geeks are always trying to get people to drink Cru Beaujolais, this is the wine to try. Sure, it will get the 93 and 94 point ratings it gets every year by critics who love the aromas and flavors of cherries, plums, fresh flowers, licorice and granite that it always serves up. And it has the same bewitching combination of velvet texture wand weightless grace as always, too. No reason to wait for the raves. One of the great wines of Burgundy, much less Beaujolais.
For You If: You like wines that are both gutsy and astonishingly fresh; you're looking for a great match with stews, sausages and anything grilled; you'd like to play around with watching something improve in cellar - this will be on the rise for 4 years or so and sail on nicely from there.
Not For You If: You're looking for the simple pleasure of a "regular" Beaujolais Villages - this has more density, minerality, fruit and intensity than that.
