Sometimes you want a big ole mouthful of old-school California Chardonnay – especially if you’re having bacon-wrapped scallops or a good roast chicken.  This is that. Nicely rich and ripe Carneros fruit aged 10 months in French oak (35% new) serves up opulent fruit aromas and flavors of apple, pineapple, pear and more. A touch of vanilla, spice and butter rounds things out nicely while a pop of citrus on the finish keeps things nicely drinkable. Not subtle, but definitely fun.

For You If:   You don’t think “California Chardonnay” is something to be mocked or explained away; you enjoy a rich, full-bodied, nicely spiced, white solo and with all kinds of food.

Not For You If:   You don’t like old-school California Chardonnay – this doesn’t aspire to be anything else!
