All the ripe fruit you love about California Chardonnay with an almost silky mouthfeel and mouthwatering and lightly chalky finish. A terrific party/solo sipping white and even better with crab or something creamy like mushroom & asparagus quiche. As Jeb Dunnuck says in his 92 point review, This is “lifted and fresh with lime, white flowers, green apples, and lemon zest. It’s fantastic on the palate, with ripe acidity, a silky, stony texture, elegant ripeness, and a cleansing finish. A great value, it’s lovely now, but don’t feel hurried with this one.”
For You If: You enjoy the flavors of nicely ripe Sonoma Coast Chardonnay but don’t want a lot of oak or butter in your glass just now – this has lovely fresh fruit flavors and varietal spice that sings out loud and clear.
Not For You If: You’re looking for either old-school “heavy” and buttery Cali Chard or super-nervy Chard from fog-covered vineyards at <13% alcohol – this is in the middle there, with both lovely ripe fruit and a salty, stony, chalky finish.
