Organic/Bio From organic grapes not far from the AOC of Vissan, this is at once gutsy enough for big food and light and silky enough to enjoy all on its own. It’s 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, and 10% Carignan grapes done in concrete, and delivers its black cherry/blackberry fruit with a handful of violets and lavender and a remarkably silky, smooth, finish. Could take a chill if you wanted for even more summer fun.
For You If: You’re having a cookout and want something to please a crowd from folks who normally drink Cab to those who prefer Pinot; you’re doing lamb kabobs – this would rock with Middle Eastern flavors!
Not For You If: You’re after a high-octane Rhone red – this is perfectly ripe at 13.5% alcohol.
