A long-time Rioja classic, the Cune Crianza adds a lovely depth of ripe fruit to Rioja’s classic notes of tobacco, herb, and spice. Lovely with lamb or even solo. As James Suckling says in the 90 point review, "A fruity and plummy nose with lots of cherries, strawberries and some spices. Ripe, crunchy and fruit-expressive on the medium-bodied palate rounded by firm and nicely chewy tannins. Not complex, but has good length in the finish."

For You If:   You want the dark fruit and spicy oak flavors of Rioja in a ready-to-drink package and with the oak an accent rather than tthe main show.

Not For You If:   You want something really rich/soft or showing the tea and leather notes of old Rioja - this has a nice, medium-bodied, fresh balance.
