One of the first estates Kermit Lynch began importing, Chanteleuserie is well known for their dark, gutsy, black-fruit + herbal, Bourrueil Cabernet Franc reds. We guess climate change has made the Boucard family thirsty for rosé, because now they’ve added this ripe, fleshing, joyful pink. You’ll get notes of ripe strawberry, watermelon, juicy orange peel and just a hint of wild herb. Round and fleshy, the dry finish makes your mouth water nicely. This will be great with grilled eggplant, fried chicken, and all kinds of rich foods.
For You If: You’re after a rosé that can do the work of a red wine at table without sacrificing the delights of crisp and refreshing pinks.
Not For You If: You’re after the peachy/stone fruit flavors of Provencal pink – this is more red berried.
