As Wine Advocate wrote, "The more I drink the Bachelet bothers' wines, the more I admire them... The [2018] wines have turned out beautifully: long élevage has worked its magic and the wines have picked up plenty of depth and texture during their two winters in barrel." Farming here is practicing biodynamic, new oak held to <30% for the Saint Aubin whites, and fermentation and 20 months aging in French oak. This is from scattered 1er Cru vines from plots too small to be bottled as single vineyard wines. Average vine age is 50-100 years and the vine age and vintage character show in the wine's density and ripe pear/apple fruit. Wide open and drinking well now with enough acidity to work at table and generosity to enjoy solo as well.
