Lower ABV Did you know that we get to work with America’s most passionate and experienced importer/promoter of the southwest of France? From Cahors to Madiran to Bordeaux (sort of the north of the southwest), Ed Addiss’s Wine Traditions was built on these wines and continues to score terrific and authentic wines that just happen to be great values, too. Like this blend of Loin de l’Oeil and Mauzac plus a splash of Sauvignon Blanc from Gaillac. Crisp apple, green and yellow citrus, green melon and a pinch of savory herb flavors ride along in a nearly steely, almost Riesling-like, textured wine that finishes dry and pure. You might not guess it’s just 12.0% alcohol, but you’ll immediately know that it’s reviving, refreshing, and mouthwateringly long on the palate and dry, crisp, finish. Drink this and you’ll feel a little bit more alive.
For You If: You like Sauvignon Blanc but want something a little more mellow; you’re looking for the perfect cheese and crackers white; you’re feeling adventurous and ready for something new.
Not For You If: You don’t like citrus fruit or a dash of herb; you prefer your whites smooth/soft and don’t like a touch of bite at the end.
