Organic/Bio Lower ABV We have two vintages of this wine and you NEED them both! From ungrafted vines on red slate with super high acidity (9.3 g/l) balanced by 64 g/l RS. As Wine Advocate says in the 94+ point review, it “opens with a clear, bright and intense, yet floral and stony rather than fruity nose with flint stone notes. Lush and round on the palate, this is a dense and saline but also juicy, now tropical-flavored Spätlese with enormous drive and tension. The wine is straight, crisp and piquant and will be highly digestible for decades.” A fabulous companion for Asian dishes and savory, salty, sausages.
For You If: You already love great off-dry Mosel Riesling and want to drink one that delivers classic acidic cut and flavors that just won’t quit; you think you don’t like Riesling because it’s “sweet” and are willing to give it one more try – this could just change your mind.
Not For You If: Even the low alcohol (8%), huge flavors and massive critical praise won’t sway you to try a wine with residual sugar.
