Lower ABV From 50 year-old Hondarrabi Zuri within sight of the Atlantic Ocean, this is just dead classic Txakoli. With a brief soak on the skins for texture and cold fermentation to retain a spritz of CO2, it shows bracing aromas of lime blossom, Meyer lemon and sea salt. The crisp green apple fruit balances the salty, mineral, character of the flavors perfectly and sail on through the bone dry, mouthwatering, salty, finish.

For You If:   You’re at (or want to imagine you’re at) the seaside getting ready to dig into a bounty of fresh shellfish and seafood; you love wines like Muscadet, Abymes and/or dry Riesling that give your salivary glands a workout; you’re thirsty.

Not For You If:   You’re after loads of fruit and texture – this is a lean, crisp, lightly spritzy joy.
