Lower ABV The great grape of Ribeiro - inland from Rias Baixas - is Treixadura and Manuel Formiga's family has helped reestablish it after it was largely abandoned for more productive Palomino after phylloxera. But they still have a lot of Palomino, and here they show just how good it can be when cropped low, made gently, and blended with Treixadura, Albarino and Godello. It's bursting with fresh green apple, white flower and crushed stone aromas and flavors and finishes crisp, dry and a little salty. A terrific sushi and seafood selection that's fun to just drink, too.
For You If: You love Rias Baixas Albarino or even Sancerre and want something with a touch more fruit than Albarino and less overt citrus than Sancerre.
Not For You If: You're after something creamy, rich or oaky - this is crisp, light and steely.
