That’s what you get here in a wine made from the Brunello grape – Sangiovese Grosso – and grown in Montalcino in sites just a little too high or cool to deliver Brunello’s power and grip. Oodles of black and Bing cherry fruit pull you in and the fleshy, broad, mouthfeel is guaranteed to satisfy. As is the nicely long finish where the fine tannins give a gentle, food-friendly, squeeze. A great all-purpose Italian red with an extra touch of Brunello class.
For You If: You love the flavors of Brunello and Chianti Classico and want those in a ready to drink, more easygoing, package.
Not For You If: You’re looking for something really light – this is pretty substantial! – or super powerful – this has plenty of volume but finishes with ease.
